【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsforelectrodepositedzinccoatingsappliedtoironorsteelarticlestoprotectthemfromcorrosion.Itdoesnotcoverelectrodepositedzinc-coatedsteelwireorsheets(seeSpecificationA591/A591Mforsheets).1.2Thecoatingsareprovidedinfourstandardthicknessclasses(4.1),intheas-platedconditionorwithoneofthreetypesofsupplementaryfinish(4.2).1.3Highstrengthmetals,unlessotherwisespecified,includinghighstrengthsteelshavingatensilestrengthgreaterthan1700MPa(247ksiRc46)shallnotbeelectroplated.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4ThisstandardhasbeenrevisedtoaddressRoHSrequirementsthatseektolimittheexposureofworkersandthepublicfromexposuretotoxicmetals.Additionaltypeshavebeenaddedtopermitnon-chromatepassivatetreatmentstobeusedinreplacementofhexavalentchromium.
